Why the CL-SXR is not just another printer

SATO did not start from the spec sheet but from what really costs money on a line or in a warehouse: the unplanned stop, the label that has to be reprinted and the operator calling maintenance. And we add what does not come in the box.

01 · Predictive maintenance + Official Technical Service

It warns before it fails. We arrive before it stops.

The printer measures the resistance drift of the print head and a SATO AI model estimates when it will fail, days in advance. At Labelmarket that alert reaches your Official Technical Service: we schedule the head replacement on the shift that disturbs you least, with the genuine part in the van. No tools, in under a minute.

Prediction requires the printer to be connected to SATO's cloud service; we set it up during installation.

02 · Environment sensors and print preview

Prints the same at 2 °C and at 40 °C

Temperature and humidity sensors adjust the head energy so the first label of the shift comes out with the same density as the last, in the cold room too. On-screen preview lets you check design and data before the batch starts, and the waste-prevention function prints from the first label of the roll.

03 · NX series replacement in one visit

We change the printer, not your installation

Same label exit height and same foot position as the CL4/6NX series: it is replaced without touching stands, applicators or rewinders. It speaks SBPL and auto-detects the most common printer languages, so your formats keep working, also if you come from another brand. Our technician arrives with the new printer, clones the configuration of the old one and takes it away.

The RWG500 rewinder only needs an EXT conversion cable.

Frequently asked questions

Does the CL-SXR replace the CL4NX Plus and CL6NX Plus?

Yes. It is SATO's new industrial generation and keeps the label exit height and foot position of the NX series, so it is replaced in the same installation. It gains around 25 % speed, environment sensors, print preview, predictive maintenance and Gigabit and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. Our technician swaps it in one visit and clones the configuration of the old one.

Do I have to change my labelling software?

Usually not. The CL-SXR prints in SBPL and auto-detects the most common printer languages, so existing formats usually work unchanged. If you come from another brand, we check it with you before installation.

What is predictive maintenance and what does it need?

The printer monitors print-head wear and SATO's AI estimates when it will fail, days in advance according to SATO. It requires the printer to be connected to SATO's cloud service, which we set up during installation. What turns the alert into an avoided stop is a technical service that acts: ours schedules the head replacement before it fails.

What does the installation and commissioning service include, and what does it cost?

Positioning, network and printer-language set-up, migration of your current formats, calibration with your label and ribbon, tests with your software, operator training and a commissioning report. And if you replace a printer, we take it away for recycling. It is not included in the printer price: in the launch offer we quote it separately, at a special price, in your proposal.

What is the difference between the CL4-SXR and the CL6-SXR?

Print width: 104 mm (4″) on the CL4-SXR and 167.5 mm (6″) on the CL6-SXR. The CL4-SXR offers 203, 305 and 609 dpi, up to 18 ips, rotary cutter, linerless and HF RFID; the CL6-SXR offers 203 and 305 dpi, up to 14 ips and UHF RFID, and is the choice for pallet and wide-format labels.

Can I add RFID later?

Yes. The UHF (CL4 and CL6) and HF (CL4) RFID kits are installable options, so you can start without RFID and expand when your customer or your standard requires it. Our service team installs them.

What warranty does it have and what do the extended warranty and maintenance add?

Two years of limited manufacturer's warranty. In the launch offer we propose, at special prices, the extended warranty and preventive and corrective maintenance contracts with Labelmarket's official service team: genuine parts, SATO-trained engineers and corrective service response in under 16 hours. They are services separate from the printer price; the specific terms are in your proposal.

Can I combine the launch offer with the trade-in programme?

Yes, if your current printer is another brand: the launch price and the special service prices come from the launch offer, and the discount of up to €400 for handing in your printer comes from the trade-in programme. If your current printer is a SATO, it is outside SATO's renewal programme, but we will propose the best option.
